DETERMINED Gillingham have shown their intention to pull clear of the EFL basement by snapping up Crawley Town striker Tom Nichols – and there are more new recruits on the way.
The Gills have had a nightmare opening half of the season in League Two, having scored just six goals in their opening 21 games. They went into Thursday night’s game at Sutton bottom of the division and facing a real battle to stave off relegation to the National League. However, better times could be just around the corner.
