Burton Albion have endured a nightmare start to the season, taking just one point from their first halfa-dozen matches in League One.
I was at the Pirelli for the midweek Papa Johns Trophy clash between Burton and Leicester City’s Under-21s. Burton won 4-2, with all their four goals coming in the first 12 minutes.
There was plenty on show to suggest the Brewers will improve. In the grand scheme of things, it’s a new team bonding.
Manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has got a load of new players in there who probably aren’t used to the sort of workrate he demands.
