NORTHAMPTON newboy Timi Elsnick was quick to impress, but Morecambe held out for a point in a battle of the strugglers.
The home side had the better of the opening exchanges and deserved their half-time lead thanks to Elsnik’s emphatic finish. However, Morecambe grew into the game and, after Richie Bennett had levelled, looked the more likely to go on and win it.
