NIGEL Clough revealed Burton turned down a £1million offer from Bolton for striker Liam Boyce before the transfer window closed.
The 27-year-old striker was wanted by Phil Parkinson, who turned his attention to Christian Doidge. Clough said: “We had several bids in from Bolton for him. There is always one question which is the precursor to everything at Burton Albion – is it in the best interests of the club?
