NEW Reading manager Paul Clement has lofty ambitions of returning the club to the Premier League, but is not about to run before he can walk.
The 46-year-old was named as Jaap Stam’s successor on Friday after a dismal run of one win in 18 league matches left Reading 20th in the Championship table, just three points clear of the drop, and secured the Dutchman’s fate.
The club decided to wield the axe on Wednesday and, within 48 hours, appointed former Swansea boss Clement on a threeyear deal.
