THE men’s 100m final at the World Athletics Championship may have been last weekend, but seven days later Blackpool boss Gary Bowyer insists the pace his side displayed in victory over MK Dons was reminiscent of that race.
Justin Gatlin edged out Christian Coleman and Usain Bolt to claim 100m gold at the London Stadium but Sean Longstaff got the Seasiders off to just as quick a start at Bloomfield Road by rifling in the only goal of the game on five minutes.
