PORTSMOUTH have signed Rochdale midfielder Andy Cannon for an undisclosed fee.
Cannon, 22, has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal at Pompey with an option for a further season.
Manager Kenny Jackett said: “I see Andy as an attacking midfielder and feel he will be a good addition to our squad.”
Cannon made 127 appearances for Dale following his debut in 2014, scoring six goals.
Dale boss Keith Hill said: “Andy has done brilliantly for us. I remember his debut at Leyton Orient like it was yesterday – the celebrations were amazing.”
