Ben Garner is relishing the opportunity to manage Colchester United – and believes there’s ‘real potential’ to push the club forward.
The U’s were left reeling when rookie boss Matt Bloomfield left a week and a half ago to take charge of League One side Wycombe Wanderers, where he had spent almost the entirety of his playing days.
Bloomfield eased Colchester away from relegation trouble in his five months in charge.
They headed into the weekend programme in 19th place, nine points above the drop zone.
