JOHN Doolan said he was happy for everyone connected with Accrington after two Dara Costelloe goals secured the Reds their first win of the season as they overcame Lancashire rivals Morecambe.
Both sides remain in the bottom two, but Doolan wanted his players to celebrate a much-needed victory and bragging rights in the derby.
Accrington took the lead after 36 minutes when they were awarded a penalty for a foul by Morecambe captain Yann Songo’o on Shaun Whalley. Burnley loanee Costelloe fired into the far corner of the net.
