DAVID Artell praised his Grimsby Town squad for showing a different side to their game along the way to beating League Two newcomers Bromley.
A penalty from captain Danny Rose settled the scores at Blundell Park as Grimsby had to dig deep throughout, and especially so after having a player sent off.
Kieran Green, who won that match-winning penalty for Rose to score, saw red in the 85th minute for two bookable offences, but that didn’t stop Grimsby from picking up three points.
It put Artell’s men back on the board after backto-back defeats.
