MATTY Warburton has “a massive desire and hunger to do well in the EFL” according to Northampton boss Keith Curle.
The Cobblers signed the 27-year-old midfielder on a two-year deal from Stockport this week.
Warburton scored 27 goals last season as the Hatters won the National League North title.
Curle added: “We have done our homework on his character. We need to add goals from central midfield and Matty will help with that. There was a lot of interest in him, but we are delighted Matty has chosen us and wants to be part of what we are looking to build.”
