IF this is the season that Exeter City finally get out of League Two, then their dramatic draw at Port Vale is a lesson that they will have to do it the hard way.
The Devon club have adapted well to life under new manager Matt Taylor, who replaced Paul Tisdale in the St James’ Park dugout when the latter ended his 12-year association with the club.
However, if they do want their season to end with the popping of champagne corks having nearly achieved promotion over the last couple of campaigns, Exeter must learn to play smart to see out more games.
