Former Stevenage boss Graham Westley has been named the new manager of Peterborough United. The 47 year old arrives at London Road with the club currently sitting in 18th place in League One.
Peterborough had been without a permanent manager since Dave Robertson was sacked on 6th September. Westley expressed his delight at the job, stating “I’m thrilled. This is a great opportunity, it’s a great football club”.
The new Peterborough boss arguably achieved his biggest successes during his first tenure in charge of Stevenage when he guided the club from the depths of the Conference to League One.
Westley also confirmed that former caretaker manager Grant McCann will “play a big part” in his plans for the club.
The new manager will be hoping for a successful start to his tenure at Peterborough when Posh travel to mid-table Bradford on Saturday.
