New boss bids to revive ailing Charlton

Dean Holden says he is ‘proud, privileged and excited’ to be Charlton Athletic’s new manager – and now his focus is on moving the struggling Addicks away from League One’s lower reaches.
The former Oldham and Bristol City boss was appointed on Tuesday and replaces Ben Garner, who was sacked at the start of the month after just six months in the hotseat.
