Oldham Athletic have completed the signing of exciting Belgian winger Gyamfi Kyeremeh after a successful trial spell with the League One club.
The 22-year-old, who has signed subject to international clearance, arrives at Boundary Park having agreed a two-year deal with the Latics with the option of a third year.
Kyeremeh most recently played for German side Eintracht Braunschweig II, and linked up with Oldham in pre-season before impressing manager John Sheridan during two friendly appearances against Girona and a Manchester United XI.
The wideman is most effective playing on the left-hand side, and prior to completing the signing of his latest recruit, Sheridan said: “We are trying to sort a deal out with Gyamfi. I like him and he’s a good little player.
“Hopefully, if we can sort a deal out then there will be something happening there.”
Meanwhile, Kyeremeh’s fellow trialist, right winger Cameron Stewart, is not to be offered a deal with Sheridan telling the Oldham Chronicle: “I feel as though I am alright on the right-hand side.
“I have to look at what we can bring in and afford. Gyamfi has done alright. It is just about getting match-time and getting his fitness up.”
After losing the opening game of their League One campaign against Oxford on Saturday, Oldham will be looking to bounce back at Walsall, with Kyeremeh available for selection.
