Bolton Wanderers travel to the Lamex Stadium for Friday’s match against Stevenage looking to bounce back from defeat last time out in League One.
Bolton, who sit third in the league after 39 games, fell to a 1-0 away defeat to Derby County on March 16.
They face a Stevenage side who secured a draw in their last match, a 2-2 tie with Carlisle United, and who sit seventh in the table.
With 71 goals in 39 games so far this season, Bolton are the league’s second-highest scorers with 1.8 goals per game. And they are conceding fewer than average, letting in 43 goals at a rate of 1.1 per game.
Stevenage, meanwhile, are average scorers, with 1.3 goals per game. They have conceded 1.0 goal per game.
In Jamie Reid, the Boro have one of the league’s most on-form strikers so far this season. He has notched 17 goals in 36 appearances, to sit second in the scoring charts.
His goal rate of one every 172 minutes is slightly quicker than that of Dion Charles, Wanderers’ top scorer with a goal every 173 minutes, and a total of 13 goals in 29 games.
The home side are in disappointing form in League One, with one win and three draws from their last six games.
With two wins and two draws over that period, the visitors’ form is slightly better – they have taken eight points from 18, compared to Stevenage’s six.
