Northampton boss Jon Brady says a recent touchline ban has made him consider a permanent relocation from the dugout.
“Sitting in the stands gave me a lot of clarity,” he said after watching Tuesday’s 2-2 draw with Oxford from the TV gantry. “You can talk tactically and look at the videos and see so much more.”
It’s true. A friend of mine once had a season ticket in the front row of the Gallowgate at Newcastle’s St James’ Park. As a platform for abusing the visiting goalkeeper it was ideal; as a vantage point for analysing a football match, completely useless.
