Darren Moore has resurfaced at Port Vale and is eager to get stuck into his new challenge of keeping the Valiants in League One.
But one thing that has surprised many about his appointment is that he has been handed a five-and-ahalf year contract.

At a time when managerial reigns seem to get shorter and shorter, it seems a strange decision.
