MICHAEL Appleton had mixed emotions after Lincoln ended a seven-game winless run by beating Burton.
Tom Hopper twice equalised in the first half, with his first goals for the Imps, while Joe Powell hit a brace for Burton.
City then took the lead via Joe Morrell, before Imps keeper Josh Vickers saved Lucas Akins’ 80thminute penalty to ensure a home win.
While pleased with the points, which moved the Imps a step closer to safety, the Lincoln boss admitted it was far from the perfect performance.
