TRANMERE boss Micky Mellon has lauded the Rovers’ players and fans after earning their first win in the Football League since 2015 with a narrow victory over Cheltenham Town at Prenton Park.
James Norwood burst the back of the net in the 12th minute with a stunning volley as the Merseyside club overwhelmed Gary Johnson’s Cheltenham side in an exhilarating first 45 minutes.
