Bradford City’s Steven Davies is set to be out for around three months after suffering a knee injury in the Bantam’s victory over Bury on Tuesday.
The 27 year-old striker joined Bradford after leaving Blackpool in the summer and has failed to score in 15 appearances for the Yorkshire side this campaign.
Bradford boss Phil Parkinson told the club’s official website, “Steve will be out for 10-12 weeks. The news is a real blow for him and for us.
“We were hoping that it would be better news but Steven has seen Steve Bollen, our knee specialist, this morning and he’s decided that it needs to go in a brace.”
Davies came through the academy at Tranmere Rovers and made 60 first team appearances for Rovers, scoring five goals.
Bradford City are currently in 11th place in League One and face Wigan at Valley Parade on Saturday.
