Russell Martin did a fantastic job at MK Dons and I’m a big admirer of the way he goes about his business.
He’s devoted to his tactical principles, and has developed an attractive passing style with an emphasis on retaining possession. But the current situation at Swansea, who have won just three of their last 19 games, reminds me of something my old gaffer Paul Sturrock used to say.
Paul was a lovely guy who managed me at Sheffield Wednesday and is a legend of the EFL in my eyes.
