Joel Piroe is a striker, was a striker and will always be a striker. He is not – despite the protestations of Daniel Farke – a No.10.
When Leeds signed the Dutchman for £10m in August last year, he had just scored 46 goals in 96 games for Swansea. There was no ambiguity about his skillset.
Yet for reasons that have never been particularly clear, Farke has frequently used the Dutchman in a deeper role.
