Ben Foster says Wrexham will always have a ‘special place in my heart’ after hanging up his gloves for the second time.
The 40-year-old former England international originally called time on his career a year ago, but was tempted to return in March by the call of the Red Dragons, who were chasing promotion from the National League.
The ambitious Welsh out- fit ultimately went on to lift the title and Foster made a crucial intervention by saving a last-gasp Cedwyn Scott penalty in a vital 3-2 success against promotion rivals Notts County.
