Kolo Toure reckons he simply had to seize the chance to become Wigan Athletic’s new manager.
The 41-year-old has previously worked on Brendan Rodgers’ coaching staff at Celtic and Leicester, but believes now is the right time to go his own way and step into the hotseat.
“I’m very excited to be here,” he told Latics TV at the end of the club’s mid-season training camp in Turkey.
