MARCUS Tavernier believes new Middlesbrough boss Chris Wilder is playing him in his “most effective” position.
The 22-year-old was utilised on the wing by former Boro boss Neil Warnock, but he has now been moved into a more central role and is relishing the change.
Tavernier said: “I feel like this manager has really put me in a position I enjoy playing most, and where I feel like I can be most effective.
“Now, it’s just time for me to get the role nailed down in my game, and start contributing more higher up the pitch.
