BIRMINGHAM goalkeeper Neil Etheridge admitted he was “very scared” and feared for his life while in intensive care battling Covid-19.
Etheridge contracted coronavirus at the club’s pre-season training camp in Scotland and returned home early and without symptoms.
Over the next few days his symptoms would worsen from flu-like to breathlessness before he was hospitalised on the advice of the club doctor.
The 31-year-old stopper made his return on Tuesday night during Blues’ 2-0 defeat to his former club Fulham.
