MIDDLESBROUGH boss Jonathan Woodgate has backed Britt Assombalonga to spearhead the Teessiders’ survival bid after the misfiring striker rediscovered his scoring touch.
Assombalonga, a £15m signing from Nottingham Forest in 2017, had netted just one goal in nine games before Boro’s visit to QPR a for tnight ago.
