Sheffield Wednesday‘s Barry Bannan has signed a new three-and-a-half year contract with the club.
The midfielder has featured 22 times for the Owls this season and has found the net on two occasions.
Bannan expressed his delight at signing a new deal, telling Sheffield Wednesday‘s official club website, “Since I’ve come here it’s been brilliant and I’ve loved every minute of it.
“The fans have taken to me and I’ve enjoyed everything. The lads have been brilliant so it was never in doubt, it was just a matter of getting it signed and sealed.
The 22-year-old came through the Aston Villa academy and made 61 appearances for the Midlanders before joining Crystal Palace for an undisclosed fee in 2013.
Bannan arrived at Hillsborough this summer after being released by the Eagles and initially signed a one year contract.
Sheffield Wednesday are currently sitting in 8th place in the Championship and play Leeds at home in the lunch time game on Saturday.
