DAVID Wheeler claimed the “prestige” of a club of Portsmouth’s stature made his season-long loan deal an easy decision.
Wheeler has left QPR, where he featured just nine times last season following a move from Exeter, in search of regular football.
He said: “It was looking likely for the past six weeks or so that a loan move was a possibility and coming to Pompey was a no-brainer.
