STRIKER Apostolos Vellios says he cannot hope to add to his eight Greece caps until he starts firing for Nottingham Forest.
The 26-year-old has not scored in the Championship since November 2016, his sole strike since coming in a 2-1 FA Cup fourth-round defeat to Hull in January.
That form and his sporadic first-team appearances, led to him being omitted from the Greece squad for last month’s friendlies against Switzerland and Egypt.
Vellios said: “It is a weird feeling for me to be out of the national side but it makes me more focused and determined.”
