Eleven EFL clubs are among those calling for the decision to scrap FA Cup replays to be reversed.
There was an outcry when the FA announced two-and-a-half weeks ago that replays from the first round onwards would be axed from next season due to changes in the calendar driven by expanded UEFA competitions.
The FA had worked with the Premier League to reach a new agreement – for a minimum of six years – but EFL and Non-League clubs felt they had been left in the dark about the plans.
