ROB Elliot is a very good fit for Crawley and I think his arrival from Gateshead shows that EFL clubs are increasingly prepared to look in the National League for managerial talent.
Pete Wild was headhunted by Barrow after doing a great job at Halifax. Mike Williamson – the man Elliot replaced at Gateshead – was appointed by MK Dons and is now at Carlisle. Dean Brennan, the Barnet boss, turned down an approach from Swindon.
