DEALS to buy football clubs fail for a variety of reasons but it always comes down to money in the end. Either the potential buyer was all mouth and no trousers and never had the cash in the first place.
Or, the seller moves the goalposts at the last minute, gambling that the time and expense already sunk into preparing a purchase will force the buyer to crumble.
