EXETER City boss Gary Caldwell admits he has learned lessons from last season’s Bristol Street Motors Trophy campaign – and says a trip to Wembley would be a “fairytale” for the club.
The Grecians beat Swindon Town 2-1 on Tuesday night to go top of Southern Group G ahead of the visit of Tottenham Under-21s on September 24.
It’s a far cry from last season when a youthful Exeter side crashed out of the competition at the group stage after going down 5-0 to Arsenal U21s and 9-0 at home to Reading.
