PRICEY: Kits come at a cost

FOOTBALL clubs are well within their rights to complain about supporters buying counterfeit kits.
Sheffield Wednesday have even threatened to evict any supporter found wearing a Shenzhen special inside Hillsborough.
Unfortunately for them, this is just how markets work. If consumers think something is too expensive, they will find somebody selling it for less.
Sure, the sale of fake kits contravene trademark laws. Buying them may fund organised crime, child labour and other such horrors. It undoubtedly hits football clubs in the pocket.
