Portsmouth pair shortlisted for PFA League One award after starring in title win

duo Colby Bishop and Marlon Pack have been shortlisted for the Professional Footballers' Association Player of the Year award after helping to the title.

Bishop, 27, struck 21 times to help his club back to the for the first time since 2012, while team-mate Pack was another key performer in midfield.

Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, whose 16 assists and nine goals were a key contribution to returning to the second tier, is also on the six-person list, with the winner set to be announced at the PFA's annual awards in Manchester on August 20.

Harrison Burrows has been included for his performances at Peterborough last season.

Burrows was 's skipper as the club finished fourth in League One, earning him a move to Championship side . His team-mate at Peterborough last season, Ephron Mason-Clark, was also shortlisted after scoring 19 goals in all competitions.

Mason-Clark has also signed for a Championship club, , but has been loaned back to Peterborough for the season ahead.

Alfie May's league-high 23 goals for earned him a place on the shortlist. The 31-year-old has since joined Birmingham, who will line up alongside Charlton in the third tier in the coming season.
