Arsenal Ladies have completed the signing of England international Fara Williams.
The 31-year-old played for Liverpool Ladies for the past three years and is England's most capped player of all time having accumulated 148 international caps.
Arsenal Ladies manager Pedro Martinez Losa said: “We are delighted to welcome Fara to the club. She is a great competitor and a fantastic character too.
“She is a player with huge experience at club and international level, and her reading and understanding of games is fantastic. She is an exciting addition to the squad and I look forward to working with her as we begin preparations for the 2016 season.”
Williams played a key role in England's superb World Cup performance in the summer and was awarded an MBE this year.
As well as representing Liverpool the midfielder has also played for Charlton Athletic, Everton and Chelsea and has lifted two league titles and one FA Cup.
