Nottingham Forest youngster Tyler Walker signs new contract

Nottingham youngster Tyler Walker has signed a new deal with the club that will keep him at the City Ground until 2021.

The promising 21-year-old, who is the son of Forest legend Des, is enjoying an encouraging season under that has seen him score a brace against and the winner at in the .

In total, Walker has made 32 appearances and scored five goals for his boyhood club since making his debut against in 2015, and the striker is hoping to repay the faith Forest have shown in him.

Speaking to the club’s website, Walker said: “I am buzzing to sign a new contract. I am just trying to get on with my but I am glad to secure my future here and I can get on with playing football for the team.

“I am just trying to repay the faith that the manager has shown in me. I want to be playing for Forest, that is my main goal so to be playing at the minute is really good. I just want to prove that the faith the gaffer has shown in me is right and I will do my best.

“It always feels special to pull on the shirt. This is the club that has been in the family, I live in Nottingham and it is always special when you pull on the shirt. You have got to show it to the fans that the trust they put in you to put on the shirt is repaid.”
