Peterborough United have postponed their next three matches after receiving one positive test after the latest round of Covid-19 screening.
Posh have announced that their scheduled League One fixtures with Ipswich Town, Gillingham and Charlton Athletic have all been postponed due to coronavirus.
Squads across all three EFL divisions are tested before and after matches, and this has seen one case arise at London Road having drawn 1-1 with MK Dons on Tuesday evening.
In addition to the positive case, Peterborough also confirmed that three others have displayed symptoms associated with coronavirus.
A club statement confirmed: “The safety and health of our players is paramount. The club have notified the EFL of the postponements.”
Peterborough are the second club this week in League One that postponed their next three fixtures. Sunderland on Wednesday, also notified the EFL of the postponement of their next three fixtures.
Darren Ferguson's side are expected to be out of action until the New Year, with their fixture against Doncaster Rovers on January 2 most feasible.
