I DIDN’T see Ipswich Town sacking Paul Cook. They’ve paid him well.
Got his team in. Spent a lot of money on players. They’ve been picking up points. Hovered around the play-offs. I thought they’d pick up momentum after Christmas, especially if Cookie had been given another window. Because there was a lot to transition and change.
It looked like a long-term project but that’s the ruthlessness of football. If you’ve spent big and you’re not top of the league, the fans are after you.
