Exeter City face competition to keep their hands on midfielder Joel Grant during the summer transfer window having tabled an offer to renew his stay at St James Park.
The FLP understands Oxford United, Northampton Town and Plymouth Argyle are interested in the winger’s services following an impressive campaign for the Grecians, which saw them surge into the League Two play-off spots at the turn of the year after a slow start to the season.
Paul Tisdale remains keen to keep the 29-year-old in his plans for next season but Grant is yet to sign, with the League One clubs ready to seize the opportunity.
Oxford United remain light in the winger department with a deal to keep Chris Maguire at the Kassam yet to reach a middle ground, while Conor McAleny is likely to demand wages beyond their threshold following his release by Everton.
Since signing for the Grecians in 2015, the Jamaican international has scored eight times in 48 appearances and started for Exeter at Wembley in last month’s play-off final defeat to Blackpool.
All in all, Grant has scored 47 goals in 279 appearances during his career spent in the EFL, playing for; Aldershot Town, Crewe, Wycombe and Yeovil Town.
