AARON Connolly is set to make his Sunderland debut against former club Hull following a stellar display for the Wearsiders’ Under-21 side in midweek.
The Republic of Ireland inter national was released by the Tigers at the end of last season and subsequently underwent treatment for alcohol addiction before joining the Black Cats as a free agent last month.
Lacking match fitness, he was an unused sub against Leeds in Sunderland’s final game before the inter national break.
