FORMER Crystal Palace and West Ham midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate could be set for a move to Leeds United.
The 34-year-old is one of several free agents being assessed by the Whites, who have been left without any senior defensive midfielders following injuries to Ilia Gruev and Ethan Ampadu.
Welsh international Ampadu has been ruled out until January after damaging knee ligaments, while Bulgaria star Gruev is expected to miss at least five months after undergoing surgery on his meniscus.
