Former Wrexham, Fleetwood and Shrewsbury striker Andy Mangan has been denied a dream move to Real Madrid.
Davide Ancelotti, the son and assistant of Real boss Carlo, is a close friend of Mangan and had invited the 38-year-old – currently a coach at Stockport – to join the staff at the reigning European champions.
However, his application for a work permit was rejected by the Spanish government.
