PAUL Simpson says Carlisle United are in a “good place” after his two-anda-half-year reign at Brunton Park came to an end two weeks ago.
The 58-year-old returned in February 2022, 16 years after completing back-to-back promotions from the Conference to League One.
After averting relegation, he won yet another promotion in 2022-23 as Carlisle finished fifth in League Two before beating Stockport at Wembley in the play-off final.
