MK Dons have been taken over by a Kuwait-based consortium, ending Pete Winkelman’s two-decade reign as owner.
The consortium is led by businessman and entrepreneur Fahad Al Ghanim.
“Let me be the first to reassure you that my ambition is to build on the fantastic foundations already here in Milton Keynes, and to take MK Dons to the
next level, both on the pitch and off it,” said new chairman Al Ghanim.
“Our first focus will be on strenghtening the first team squad to give the club the best chance of promotion this season.
