QPR legend Gary Waddock says “visionary” Terry Venables was the Pep Guardiola of his generation.
Waddock came through the ranks at Loftus Road and made 240 appearances in eight wildly successful years with the Hoops.
Four of those were under Venables, who arrived from Crystal Palace in 1980 and guided QPR to an FA Cup final, promotion to the top-flight, a fifth-place finish and European football before being lured to Barcelona.
