EFL clubs are moving away from employing the same old managers and are putting their faith in young career coaches – and events of the last week have shown it again.
Lincoln have turned to former Leeds coach Michael Skubala, 41, who has a lengthy coaching background, while fellow League One side Oxford have appointed Des Buckingham as their new boss.
The 38-year-old began coaching with the U’s two decades ago and has now returned after gaining extensive coaching and managerial experience abroad.
