Sheffield Wednesday got a taste of their own medicine last weekend when they were pipped to automatic promotion from League One despite a 96-point haul.
Eleven years ago, the Owls inflicted similar heartache on bitter rivals Sheffield United when a last-day victory over Wycombe condemned the Blades to the third tier play-offs.
United became the first - and until now only - team in the post-2004 Championship era to finish a season with 90 or more points yet fail to win automatic promotion.
